I am helping a class of 7th graders build Wacky Lassies
(http://www.alaska.net/~fritzf/Boats/...cky_Lassie.htm) and
would like to help them with deciding how to paint them. I would like to
install some 3d rendering software on their class computer along with
the lines for the boat so they can wrap designs onto the boats and see
them from different angles.

Any suggestions for software? (Cheap or free would be very helpful, easy
to input lines next most helpful.)
