In case you're actually out there reading this (I know he's not, but
what the heck), the most effective things you can do to improve boating safety is to push for: - Mandatory boater training. - Licensing for power boat operators with a minumum age the same as or higher than that for driving. - Tough anti-drunk-boating laws and the funds to enforce them. Of course, there's no money in doing any of that, it's just the right thing to do. Hmmm...that probably guarantees that no lawyer or politician will ever even try. |
