Gil, my first impulse was to make some remark about it not being a Tahiti
Ketch, if it had a hard chine..

However, once I looked at the picture I will have to say that she does look
fine and still retains some of the profile and character of the Hanna
design.

Thanks for the visual..

This boat actually just sold off Ebay, I believe.

See p274 from "From My Old Boatshop" by Weston Farmer.

Thanks, I wonder what it is exeactly then.. I first thought about a
Tahitiana, but the Tahitiana is a multi chine boat. This one has
one... Maybe a one-off inspired by the Tahiti..

Anyone else has an idea?

Sincerely,

Gil.

Hi,

No, it sat for a few years in a marina in Florida, and was never
proposed on Ebay.
Westom Farmer designed the Tahitiana, a multi chine boat. I actually
have a set of plans. However, this boat has one chine.
It certainly looks a lot like one, and I first thought it was.

Sincerely,

Gil.

I don't (didn't) go so far as to say that it IS a Tahiti and wouldn't want
to infer that. I'm just saying that it looks like a Tahiti aside from the
hard chine. I suspect that it was inspired by the Hanna design.

Who the heck would want to put a flying bridge on a Tahiti? ;-)

I think I _may_ know it's provenance, but am checking first.
Stay tuned...

I thought the same but on a closer look, the flying bridge is on the boat
sitting behind the Tahiti (wanna-be).
