Default replacing old wooden dc panel

I have made an electrical panel out of "Starboard" material. Cuts and
machines easily with woodworking tools ( you can machine the edge with a
shaper or router).
Sounds like you need to replace all wiring.

AN: it's new, it mean's "Advice Needed".
Ahoy, I have acquired an older boat with a plywood dc panel. I assume.
this is completely illegal in usa and would like to conform within
reason. I have ok electrical skills and experience. Some of the old
wiring shows wicked voltage drops so I will have to sort that as well.
Any advice from DIYers would be appreciated. Thank you.
