hi
This is being a real pain, on a ridged fiberglass deck there is some anti-slip paint that I cant get off even with sanding as this will flatten the ridges. GRP safe paint stripper doesnt work either. fragged |

I've bought gel type stripper from construction material stores can't
remember the name off the top of my head but it is better than what you get a lowes or home depot. Place I got it from sells concrete materials and supplies. It will cut epoxies like nothing i've seen before. runs about $36 a gallon. The one time I used it and it didn't cut epoxie was when I tried to strip an old painted shower stall that had what seem to be years of soap scum on it. It finally got through but took more material and labor than what it should have. It didn't hurt the fiberglass floor pan either. good luck |

Terry,
Sure would appreciate your nailing down the name of this stuff, if possible. My trawler was owned by a guy who obviously spent time in the Navy,
everything was painted. Funny thing, the deck looks fine once I remove the paint. I had a lot of success with as heat gun and a scraper. Takes lots of time. This one is a pain but as a last resort I use abrasive blast.
I start with walnut shell and low pressure to get the best control and give myself some leeway as it won't eat the fiberglass too fast. Not fun in any case. michael fraggy wrote: hi This is being a real pain, on a ridged fiberglass deck there is some anti-slip paint that I cant get off even with sanding as this will flatten the ridges.
