You're probably thinking of Glades Boatyard. A good bet for DIY, but not exactly SE Florida. You must be able to get under the 49 foot RR bridge on That was one of my concerns, also, and would knock it out for me unless there's an access point from the west coast, which would be a long drive, in any event, from FTL, in the 10 days allowed between purchase and non-use/repair facility... L8R Skip -- "And then again, when you sit at the helm of your little ship on a clear night, and gaze at the countless stars overhead, and realize that you are quite alone on a great, wide sea, it is apt to occur to you that in the general scheme of things you are merely an insignificant speck on the surface of the ocean; and are not nearly so important or as self-sufficient as you thought you were. Which is an exceedingly wholesome thought, and one that may effect a permanent change in your deportment that will be greatly appreciated by your friends."- James S. Pitkin |

Insurance - my usual rant:
Paying the premium does not usually equal getting the coverage that you think you have. So at least get the complete policy statement and look through it. Keep all your pictures, surveys, any other receipts or statements bearing on the quality and condition of your boat and belongings, and how they were maintained and looked after. Things that bear on your coverage: Lifting the boat; in transit; on the hard; type of location and property it's on; duration out of water; presence of people around the boat, fences, security of property; your own personal property; boat electronics; other removeable boat gear (sails, dingy, cushions, tools); what's stored on the boat (flamable chemicals); who put the boat on the hard, how; who does work on the boat; season (hurricanes); normal wear & tear (airborne sludge from nearby construction); various exclusions, acts of gawd, etc. Finally, (somehow I supect I'm preaching to the choir here, Skip... g) you're the captain and have all the responsibility. Don't take _anybody's_ unquestioned or unvarified word on _anything_ that worries you. Eg. placement of supports, nearness of neighboring boats (to fall on you), locked (?) storage lockers, etc. Also, is the boat near any heavy traffic (main gate, travel-lifts, parking, incoming flat beds, etc) which would increase the risk of fender-benders.
