The latest prediction I've heard is that the coast will eventually be
one continuous city. We're certainly headed that way.

For Chayco:

I've been thinkin of getting out to BC for vacation. I promise I wont
stay but it sounds like a pretty place. Doing the inside passage is
sorta a long term scheme.

The FL Keys used to be nice before they built the new bridge. Back
then growth was limited by the limited capacity of the narrow bridge
and the old 8" water pipeline. Now the new bridge allows you to go
from Largo to Key west in 2 hours and the 36" water pipe under the
bridge allows almost unlimited growth. If radical anti-growth Conchs
existed, that pipeline would sure be a weak spot (hint, hint).

Ya know, they put in that new bridge saying they needed it to evacuate
in a hurricane but all it did was allow so many people to move there
that now it isnt enough to evacuate.

Well, there is a 'window of opportunity' when you do say 'gawd damn she's
sure pretty'. Just sometimes there is a long wait in between.

I built a teak home in North Thailand some 18 years ago in a very pretty
remote spot, but then again there was that 'window of opportunity' between
the bleedin' hot season and the bleedin' wet season .....that was just
bleedin' perfect.

As for the 'inside pssage' it's getting that you can now fly half way up ,
rent boats, stay in isolated luxury and be out afore the next squall hits.

Takes a bit of the adventure away.
