Would that be the problem I reported here with the screw heads pulled
through the thin face ply of the lauan underlay plywood? The problem
report included a description of the fix, ie fitting a 1/4" spruce plywood
doubler over the outside of the slot. The boat is fine now. Was out in it
a couple of days ago picking riverside wild apples for annual cider making.
Could not resist wasting most of an afternoon pleasure sailing on the
river after apple picking.
