I've replaced the deck (rotted out) in my 19' outboard with exterrior
plywood coated both sides with epoxy and fiberglass cloth. Now I need to protect the epoxy from the UV rays of the sun. I've decided against carpet (not the best with fish hooks, slim or blood). I'm looking at Nautolex vs a non-skid paint. Trying to evaluate ease of installation, life expectancy and ease of maintenance/clean up. Has anyone installed the Nautolex product? How easy/difficult is the installation? Any pros or cons? I also need to Nautolex up the inside of the gunnels (originally had Nautolex on them from the factory) how smooth must the surfaces be to get a good application? The gunnels are somewhat rough from the old adhesive. Thanks for any advice you can offer. |
