Hi
It is a very good idea to make a model first, but do the model cover the intire boat structure --- the panels aswell as the ribs ? If you want an easier and safer way to get the ribs to place the panels on, check this link ,remember that the concept is, to get both the panels and a framework, that fit to the engine foundations ,do the deck beams and the bulkheads in one go, and note that it work different than the old fasion 90. deg towerds keel line concept. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Cyber-Boat/ Now the ribs are as important as the panels, but hands on the best is to have a framework that fit exactly the panels you unfolded and have the intire framework before you start the paneling. Much better than having just a few frames and then place the panels --- and then do the rest of the frames on site, --- this method do that ,it even do the engine foundations exact as you done the 3D model . If you have a 3D model this will provide any framework for any shape hull. |
