Default Spanish Cedar

A local lumberyard has a couple of nice 16/4 planks. Any comments on
using this wood on deck for hatches, cockpit coaming caps, toerails,
etc. ?
Sealed with CPES and varnish. $2 b/f cheaper than Honduran mahogany. I
did see a magazine article (Wooden Boat or Good Old Boat)where someone
replaced their teak handrails with it. Looked good.
