A local lumberyard has a couple of nice 16/4 planks. Any comments on
using this wood on deck for hatches, cockpit coaming caps, toerails, etc. ? Sealed with CPES and varnish. $2 b/f cheaper than Honduran mahogany. I did see a magazine article (Wooden Boat or Good Old Boat)where someone replaced their teak handrails with it. Looked good. |
