In the heads I want a white easy wipe down surface; I've thought of formica but is there a paint finish that gives a very hard and smooth finish or how about white pigmented epoxy? I'm going to use 2 part LP over high build primer. HTH Lew Epoxy with one layer of a fine weave glass cloth to prevent the ply checking. Then either 2 pot polyurethane varnish if you wanted to see the wood grain :-) or for your preferred gloss white, 2 pot paint. It doesn't take much moisture for the ply surface to become really unstable so you need the glass cloth layer or some other guaranteed moisture barrier like the Formica. -- Ian Malcolm.
