Minicups and paintballs

Having built two Minicups and my son and his friends being paintball
nuts, I have considered combining the two activities. The paintball
guns could be fastened to the boats with cord so they wouldnt sink.
Sail in freshwater so corrosion wouldnt be to much of a prob. Let
them only fire one round every 10 seconds and give em only 20 shots.

Can anybody suggest rules?

On second thought, maybe Minicups and water balloons would work better
as this would require more strategy. For example, since you cannot
throw the water balloon through your own sail, your best way to throw
would be when you are downwind of your opponent (opposite of weather
guage)

I was part of a group who had a Boat "banger race" every year.
Each competitor was allowed a buget of £100 to buy and strenthen a small
sailing dingy.
Three races..each of four laps of a small triangular course. (collision
rules Dont apply) followed by a Distruction derby... Last one sailing
wins.... good fun was had by all....
(Alas in modern times it would probably end in some mindless litagation as
nobody seems able or allowed to take any risk of any injury without blaming
someone else for any accidents)
sigh..

You may want to check out the "Broadside". Well suited to these little
boats.
