Default Banking bailout shows free universal healthcare is viable

The 1-2 trillion dollar banking bailout is proof that free universal
healthcare is viable in these United States.

Americans spend 2-3 trillion dollars per year on health care. Half of all
bankruptcies are due to medical expenses. People who are sick are less
productive and tie up the resources of other people to care for them. If
free universal health care were provided we would see bankruptcies cut in
half. People could afford to spend more on houses and cars, the economy
would boom. Having greater numbers of healthy people means people could work
harder and pay more taxes. We would see a net gain in government revenues.
The government could crack down on those making windfall salaries off of the
sick. Why should nurses make well over $100,000 a year? Why should there be
bloated adminstrative and clerical jobs in health care? A single provider
and single payer would cut down on these expenses. Emphasizing preventative
health care practices would cut down on the costs of treatment. Having
cutoffs for treatments (as most insurance policies have) would guarantee
that silly, excess expenditures to extend life a few days or weeks at great
cost would be eliminated. Every American would receive equal protection and
service under the nationalized health care industry. Universal services
provided by the government have several glowing examples to look to for
those who may fear the prospect of free universal health care. Think of the
valiant mail delivery person, providing service through rain, sleet or snow.
Operating at a budget surplus, the post office goes on to sponsor bike
racing teams and runs commercials on television. It is with the same
confidence one has when handing an envelope to the clerk at the window that
one would have when wheeled into an operating room - well worth the long
line and wait. Few may experience the inconvenience of being sent to the
back of the line because of the wrong stamp or having the wrong procedure
but these cases are few and far between and don't subtract from the great
overall benefit. Now many of you are thinking, "how will this be paid for?".
Ah, the forest for the trees! The savings bestowed upon the citizen will
result in greater tax revenue combined with the high profits from reselling
distressed houses may even make the entire government self funded -just like
the post office! What wonderful times lay ahead!
