It's just amazing that for you political affiliation alone is the determining factor for good or evil and actually defines evil. What's interesting if the word "Republican" was replaced with an ethnic, sexual orientation or gender category one would be called a hate monger. But it's ok to hate Republicans, whether they are elected into office, or your neighbor or co worker or client. The problem isn't the Democrats or Republicans. The problem is people like you who want to give the government so much power over other people's lives (and your own too) and then tell them how to run everything. All you ever get out of your view and methods is more bandaids on top of bandaids and things will always get worse. It's a form of mental disorder when someone feels so compelled to arrange and order the lives of others. It also shows a lack of respect for your fellow man which stems from your own core evaluation. Psychologically healthy people manage their own lives, respect others, leave others free to their own path of choice. They don't leave a path of wreckage behind them, they can put themselves in the other guy's place, they can see themselves as others see them - in other words the have something called "emotional intelligence". They also realize that first they must solve their own personal problems before they can go on to solve the problems of the world (and all the world's problems are simply a large collection of personal problems, the most dire come from those with personal problems and power). To judge people solely on their political affiliation, religion, skin color, or any other classification falls short of judging the entire person in what it takes to be a complete human being. Someday, though highly unlikely, you may develop that capacity to see yourself and others. Until then, it's all the Republican's fault. |

I pray he makes all his mortgage payments and meets all his obligations. I also hope that house prices are allowed to fall to their true market levels so those of lesser income can afford to purchase one. I'm also sure that California, the most benevolent state in the union, will create many new programs to help those displaced by the housing crisis, regardless of citizenship. Some will feel the squeeze of the cost of these new programs, be it in higher gas taxes, recreational fees, boat and car registration, business taxes, income taxes, net worth taxes, and the like but it should all be taken in the context of being a great privilege to help those less fortunate than oneself. Jonathan would never see this as wrong or bad, there's not a single streak of malevolence in his entire being. Jonathan would be elevated to a higher astral plane by spending more of his industry to help his fellow man. Jonathan also realizes the even greater benevolence and wisdom of elected Democrats. Higher taxes simply mean better living for everyone and egalitarian policies of enforced equality can only bring true harmony to the masses. Such is the nature of true benevolence.
