Default Boobie's Car?

That and it's on an automobile that is made by a company that had a
hand in killing scores of Americans less than 65 years ago. .

Subaru, Toyota, Mitisubshi all used captured American POW's as
slaves, beating and killing many.

The world will never heal and bigotry will remain if we allow history
to govern our lives. History should teach, not enforce grudges built
on long dead political evils.
My wife's great grandfather fought against the USA. What does that
have to do with her, me or anything? Subaru is one of the finest US
companies around and treats workers far better than Ford or GM.

"Subaru of America, Inc., (SOA), is the exclusive United States marketer of
Subaru products manufactured by Fuji Heavy Industries Ltd. of Japan."

http://www.subaru.com/common/about/index.jsp

Parent company is Japan. All profits go to parent company

They
also make better cars than the US builders can't match. If I buy an
American car all I'm doing is extending a losing proposition; the
continuing sale of inferior products in a world market. The big three
can build the best cars in the world, but they won't ever do it if
people give them any support.
I don't hold people accountable for what their anscestory was up to.
If I did I probably would live in a trailer like Scotty. And a company
identity is about today and last year, not 65 years ago. If the US
builds a car as good as my Sedona or LGT Turbo I'll happily buy one,
even if it's a bit more expensive. I'm just waiting for that to
happen.

Yeah? So? They still do better by US workers than Ford or GM. How do I
know? My uncle worked for GM and finished out his career with Subaru.
He hated GM as did many of his co-workers. These companies used to
lead the world and now they are a blazing symbol of US' lack of
imagination and pride in workmanship.
Try driving a Ford Fusion or Pontiac G6. Drive a new Vette after just
a single year and listen to the rattles. My Sedona isn't just "better"
than than Chrysler's vans; it's like night & day better. US built cars
are simply...a shame. My father was one of the last holdouts, doggedly
buying American cars until just 17 months ago. He finally gave up and
bought a Subaru. Patriotism is not an excuse to sell people junk. If
there was a car as good as my Subaru LGT made by the USA and it was 3
or even 5K more, I'd buy it! THAT would be patriotic.

Remembering it and living under it's shadow are two different things.
