Can anyone tell me about how much fuel a 1997 6 hp mercury outboard
burns per hour at full throttle.
Thanks

Quick guess... 1/2 gallon an hour all things being equal.

From Nissan Marine:

A rule of thumb for four stroke engines from a old pilot friend friend
of mine: 1/2 pound of fuel per horse power per hour.
One gallon of "gas' weights 6 pounds. If you figure 100% power
setting (6 hp) then 3 pounds of fuel which is 1/2 gallon an hour. He
used this formula for a Piper Cub with lousy fuel guages.
