Ah! No, I meant under recreational circumstances, such as when out

Ohh. Many many times. My favorite was returning one year after racing
in the LYC Harvest Moon Regetta. We took the ICW back along with many
others. After crossing Aransas bay a P- 30 type boat got out of the
channel and ran aground near Blackjack point. They had a crew of two
couples, none of the other fin boats could get close enough to tow
them. We dropped the sails, pulled up the board and were able to get
within monkey's fist range of them. The girls were crying loudly in
the bkdg on the radio as they were in a massive swarm of mosquitos. We
yanked them back into the channel without a problem. I carry a 200ft
2" poly pro line with thimbles for just that porpose. They were very
grateful to say the least.
