After 300 miles, absolutly thrilled with our new Forester. Drove all
the competitors in the same class, and without a doubt, it is the
best
handling unit of the bunch.

It's a great car and far nicer than anything like a poor Corolla. The
Forester also has a proper 5 star crash rating, AWD and it's a real
car. Recently I was talking with someone about the old VW Dasher and
what a tight good handling wagon they had. If VW had more vision they
would have built the Forester. Along the same lines, AMC had the AWD
Eagle and THAT was an early forester of sorts. Of course it took a
Japanes company to get all working right.
Bob, trying to prove to himself that his Corolla is a car to be
mentioned alongside of a Legacy...or even the Impreza that he's
somehow worried about....like bringing a Penguin to a gun fight.
Enjoy the Forester!

Just 2.5 rating and a LOT of reviews from unhappy owners!

Now...for the true smackdown....same website and rating for the 2007
Legacy is.....4.5 Stars!!!

http://autos.yahoo.com/2007_subaru_legacy/

One of the highest ratings. Edmunds reflects an even higher score!!!!

BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA! KAPOWWWWEEEE!!!

What makes you think their opinion is superior to yours? Had they panned
it, would it change the car.? What is this constant need for re-assurance
that you've made good choices? Do you need to prove to yourself that you
are spending Daddy's money wisely? Or are you just a rooster, preening his
feathers and crowing, seeking the dumb admiration of the hens and chicks?

The #1 complaint about Toyota was that it supposedly got the same gas
mileage (23 mpg) as the Subaru!

No, you clearly did not read the complaints on Edmunds either.

Corolla issues:

Poor/unsafe handling even with tire upgrade
Brake fade
Vague center steering response at speed
Too much road noise for long drives
Too little room for adults
Awful powerplant and accelration for highway use
MPG far less than expected.
NO 5 star crash rating as with Legacy.

It's okay for trips to the A&P, but a real car it aint.

Sorry!

Most of us do not need a real car.

Bright lad! I want Annie Lectric town car that costs so little to
drive it's essentially free. Now there's a way to upgrade transport
pollution and reduce the price of plastic. The batteries are
recyclable. There is no reason an electric car can't last at least as
long as a decent refrigerator.

I'll take a bus between major centers if I can rent an electric
reasonable for half a day or two.

Can't do that today.

Now, if we could organise an electric tractor battery change system,
We could get unregulated transports off the roads and cheaper
shipping. Bring back the trains! clean coal! End the energy monopoly
of oil!

Insure drivers, not cars!

Shills, beware!

What makes you think their opinion is superior to yours?

Holy sockpuppet, Batman!
If they own the car and have direct experience, then yes.

Had they panned
it, would it change the car.?

That depends on my experience.

What is this constant need for re-assurance
that you've made good choices?

It's fun!

Do you need to prove to yourself that you
are spending Daddy's money wisely?

It's actually my great Uncle's money we inherited.

Or are you just a rooster, preening his
feathers and crowing, seeking the dumb admiration of the hens and
chicks?

I married a hot chick, drive a hot car, sail a hot boat, have a lot of
hot friends. Last night I had hot BBQ chicken on my 900 dollar hot
Weber grill. Life is HOT! Admire me now or believe me later!

Corolla....a car for the everlasting loser!
