The AC shuts down due to no water flow.
1. Back flush the valve and intake, many times a fish will stick his head into it, sometimes he gets out just by the system shutting down. Tried it first, turn on AC...no flow. 2. Clean the strainer, not too bad but maybe...Did it.. turned on the AC....no flow...Damn! 3. Unmount pump and strainer, remove intake pipe between strainer and pump to see if anything is in the impeller or if the motor is siezed up. AH HA ...a tiny shell right there in plain view..back flush the pump and all's good to go..Clean up the mess, rinse the hull, remount the pump turn it on and nothing...not a drop of water flowing..SOB. 4. take it all apart again this time removing the impellor housing looking for the other part of that shell inside the housing...ah ha another small frag of shell near the discharge part of the housing. Put it all back together..mount it, rinse the hull , clean up..turn it on and NOTHING not one MFin drop of water flow...Damn it. 5. Smack that POS march pump with a hammer... turn it on and it works perfectly. 6. Remember to smack it with the hammer first next time. Joe |
