jl,

I've got one of those but its been in the dresser drawer for years. I
like the big, dark numbers as the years keep creeping up on me.

Take it out and wear it. Show it to your friends and family. Get a

Please stop repeating that old fart's posts. I like it better when I
don't see them and for some reason (I don't have the beached lubber
killfilled or filtered), I don't - maybe it's his inferior webTV that
doesn't propagate like it should or maybe it's his ignorant use of html
that the newsserver ****cans - but, at any rate, the dude's got nothing
worthwhile to say anywho since he sold his pretend sailboat/ugly
pilothouse Gulf motorboat a couple years ago because he never was able
to figure out how to put the sails up but one time and then it went
backwards it was so slow. Then when he rolled off his boat onto the dock
they put out a beached whale notice and all the conservationists came
a-running to the rescue. Remember Humphry the Humpback whale that got
lost up the river a couple years ago. Well, now there's the legend of
Thom the Blubber whale out there in Washington.

Kill Ole Thom! Perish the thought. I hope the dude lives forever. I'd
hate like hell to not have Ole Thom to kick around anymore.

Hey Terd,

Time at night is easier and more positive than day time.

If you don't know; the tail of the Little Dipper rotates around the
North Star each 24 hours. You can only see this AT NIGHT.

I see you've haven't stood many night time watch at sea.

Scotty,

The Earth rotates one revolution a day, making the Sun appear to be
moving across the sky (360 degrees divided by 24 equals = 15 degrees a
hour) 15 degrees equals a closed fist three at arms length.

So now tell me how you time a three minute egg by the Sun?

I use the timer on the microwave. (The egg isn't in the microwave, of
course.)

Tred,
Did it ever occur to you to count your pulse instead of the MW timer?

So let's see? A watch, a GSP and a microwave, an the Old Man has managed
without any gadgits.
