It turns out that the Mazdaspeed6 has a serious issue....a turbo seals
problem. Too many cars are effected and I could not get any assurance
from the dealer that Mazda had fixed it. That, and a few other worries
nixed the Speed6 for us.
So now....we still wanted a fast and fun AWD car that had some room/
comfort and good speed. We decided to up the budget and go for the
Subaru Legacy GT Spec. B. A bit faster than the Speed6, but looser
handling (I'll fix that with some suspension tweaks). Tested it today
and far better appointed of course and way quicker than the Audi A6
(which is also nice).
Anyway...got the manual tranny and the cold air intake....should have
it on Friday. We spent more, but it's a nicer car with few peers near
it's price.
Meanwhile....told Suzanne I want the Lotus for next spring. She says
Go for it!
