I always made fun of your boat because of the ridiculously large windows.
Now it is a real ship and built like a battleship. Great job! |

Thanks Bob, It's real nice to be able to open all the ports and have a nice breeze. But this is the time of year when the AC's are at full blast.. so the ports will be dogged for a few mo's until fall. Joe |

That's a great looking boat with a lot of character Joe.
I hope you enjoy the hell out of it. Regards, JR "Joe" wrote in message oups.com... On May 20, 8:03 pm, "Bob Crantz" wrote: I always made fun of your boat because of the ridiculously large windows. What do you do in the extremely hot weather
when underway? Do you have a generator for AC? |

It powers everything aboard with a bit to spare. http://sports.webshots.com/photo/230...63212926OGssit http://www.oceanmarine.com/misc%20images/tcm12.jpg It has a 30" cast iron squirrel cage like blower that keeps it, and the engine room as cool as it is outside. See the big 8" duct here in this picture http://sports.webshots.com/photo/242...63212926AEgQPt That carries the hot air out and dumps it behind the wheelhouse. Joe |

Had 2 Ford Pick-ups. A '72 F100, and an 85 F-150 XLT lariat.
with 2 Chevy sht bx's in between. The Family got bigger and went to a FS Blazer and now drive a GMC Yukon to tow the boat (Matilda 20). The pickups were 2x4 and a bit light in the rear end to come up the launch ramp well. The Blazer and Yukon do quite well. "Joe" wrote in message oups.com... It was sweet... 351 windsor,3 on the tree, AC that would freeze you and a new midnight blue emron paint job with crager SS rims. Had it less than 3 mo before it was stolen. I think it's the 72's that have only 5 diffrent keys for all trucks.. Bet you love filling up the gas tank on the Yukon;0) Joe |

Actually for a 6000lb truck the Yukon doesn't do all that bad.
On a recent trip from Pa to Fla and back I averaged about 18mpg. Regards, JR "Joe" wrote in message ups.com... On May 23, 8:31 pm, "JR" wrote: Had 2 Ford Pick-ups. Is that your (Dalmation) dog Joe?
Nice paint job. I'm assuming you had a new bottom treatment also. No that's some truckers dog..He jumped out of a kenworth that was pulling a cabin cruiser to be offloaded the next morning. My dog is a Schipperkey named Skipper, suprised you did not meet him when you came by, he's usually raising hell if anyone comes to visit...must of been napping or something. http://outdoors.webshots.com/photo/1...63212926beyurN The bottom job was all I did except spotting the hull. The topsides were done a year or so ago and should last a few more before needing another coat of paint. I can do that floating anytime. Just buildt a nice 4X8 float to tend the hull. You heading out this long weekend? I bet the lake will be packed and stirred into a choppy froth with all the traffic. I'm planning on a fishing trip this weekend. Joe |

Joe I haven't had time to take the boat out for several weeks because of a work assignment for NASA, and also, a trip to west Texas for an astronomy meet. I hope to get out next month and will try to stop by your dock before you leave for South America. Jim |
