This makes me "Vonnegut" out my DVD of "Back to School" and watch it again. He's not really dead. He's with the Trafalgarians now. Has anyone said "So it goes" yet? As for Delaney, I keep copies of _TEI_ (my favorite of his, and a personal favorite overall, even though the title is wrong), _Dhalgren_ (love the eye-caps) and the beautiful little gem _Empire Star_ around, and you probably can't really bring any serious criticisms against his other classics like _Nova_, _Babel-17_ and _Triton_, except possibly one of a too-overt and therefore irritating intellectualism (I have a bad feeling about letting that expression loose) . . . . -- smeeter 11 or maybe 12 mp 10 mhm 29x13 Color television is certainly a lot more fun than this terribly risky genetic method of reproduction we've taken over. Ah, well, it's a beautiful world. _The Einstein Intersection_ |
