nether is putting undies on your head, well, I guess it
depends on who wore them first.

You wear undies on your head? Boxers or briefs?

How come it's "well treated" when it's Brit soldiers being made to stand
clindfolded for hours with guns being coked near their heads, but it's
torture when the US does something similar to Iranian terrorists?

Excuse me, but we're supposed be better than terrorists. We should not be
torturing people. Unfortunately, this isn't the case.

Making someone stand is not torture....heck, the nuns used to make us do
it for hours...or kneel..it works...problem is, you're all touchy feely
about bad people..you want a rose served on their dinner tray at mealtime
and soft music playing in the background so they'll "rehabilitate"..that
doesn't work...so...make them stand and be uncomdrtab;le...it's not like
we were shoving pins under their nailbeds or dripping water on their
foreheads....grow up, Jon...the world ain't rosy (except in yourw and
O'Donnell's world)

You can play the personal attack card all you want. The facts are that we
allowed torture to happen to those under our control. Did your nuns
waterboard you?

No, but they stuck your gum on the blackboard higher than you could
stand and planted your nose in it while on tiptoes...and that pointer
could do some majorly major damage to your knuckles or backside
depending on where it was applied...

Hey Duncan,

How come when a Limey flys a Lynx off the HMS Cornhole all the sailors
get captured?

And when an American flys a Lynx he get more "Cornfake Medals" from
the ol lady?

LONDON - A U.S. Marine appeared before Queen Elizabeth II at
Buckingham Palace March 21 to receive the United Kingdom's
Distinguished Flying Cross for saving lives and in recognition for his
bravery during combat operations in Iraq.
Marine Maj. William D. Chesarek Jr., is the first U.S. servicemember
to be so honored since World War II.

Assigned as an exchange officer with the Royal Air Force's 847th Naval
Air Squadron, Commando Helicopter Force, based at Royal Naval Air
Station Yeovilton in Somerset, England, the U.S. Marine flew the RAF's
Lynx Mk7 helicopter -- the aircraft he used to dodge insurgent's
bullets and rocket-propelled grenades.

You're really not thinking clearly. We just released a guy after 5 years. He
had done nothing, but was kept in solitary, tortured, beaten, and he begged
them to listen. We're supposed to be better than this.

Indeed not. For that you either rely on the brainless grunts in Iraq,
who unfortunately photograph themselves in action hence providing the
material for their own prosecution and the public humilation of your
nation, or on "rendition". Where of course rendition means "kidnapping"
then transport of the person to a country where they don't care about
torturing someone and leaving them maimed for life.

And then you admit confession extracted under torture into your legal
process. Hiding your involvement in torture under a blanket does not
absolve you from responsibility.

I find it hard to blame the people on the ground in Iraq. They were poorly
trained and supervised, sometimes being ordered to "soften up" prisoners by
direction from cia-like agencies. While they have and should have been
prosecuted for what they did, the actual blame goes much higher.

And then you admit confession extracted under torture into your legal
process. Hiding your involvement in torture under a blanket does not
absolve you from responsibility.

Unfortunately, many believe it does.

It's not evidence - it's words, effectively dictated by the man with the
electrodes.
