Rowing Doug's Boat
 
Had the cahnce to try out Doug's project this weekend...wow...is that
dink light1 And easy to row. And weighs about half as much as my Dink
From Hell...I am way impressed. and it looks good, too...

Thanks for the compliments. It was fun to watch the boat in action, I
have not had that perspective before.

It is. After all, that's how to keep honest people honest. As for the
others, they are too busy stealing outboards to worry about a rowing-
only dinghy. And Katysails old me that Joe wanted to buy it for a
hundred bucks in the event of my demise!

If anybody wants to copy this dinghy, I will be glad to send them the
plans and the table of offsets. However, when discussing it over on
rec-boats-building, there was little or no interest other than a few
cranks who said "Why bother to build a light weight dinghy?
Traditional designs are meant to be heavy and they work mush better
that way (etc etc)" so I don't expect the world to beat a path to my
door.

Chopper didn't go for a ride...he is a bit under the weather so left him
in his sacred aft cabin...
