![]() "ladysailor" wrote Thanks Jon. I had a great Valentines Day. Mike and I spent the day by the pool drinking pina coladas then we treated ourselves to dinner at a fancy new restaurant in town. It was a bit pricey but worth every penny. Well that's just peachy, Barb. You know what I did? Plowed snow for 6.5 hours, in wind chills of - 15*. I'm so glad for you...and Mike. Scotty |

Here in Mexico the heat is the reason we have siesta from 2 to 4 every day. Too damn hot to do anything! Seems you are the peach for doing all that work on Valentines Day. Hope your Valentine appreciated your effort. Barb s/v Arabella www.sailinglinks.com |

Barb s/v Arabellawww.sailinglinks.com A recent study concluded you have a 30% less chance of a heart attack if you take a nap daily. I loved working in the bay of De Campache and the town of Carmen. Siesta, from 14:00 to 16:00 the whole town shut down.... but people then worked to 19:00. Still remember our Pemex agent getting grub for the boat. He had a beef hide quarter delivered by donkey cart that was still twitching, and the chickens were mucho fresho in cages. Best bread tortillas on earth, they still had little adobe ovens all over town that baked all day. Town square dances every Friday and Saturday night. lush jungle, great easy going people. BTW Scotty likes plowing snow, that why he lives in Plowsville...job security. Joe |

It's no wonder the locals are all so happy and easy going. Recently, we were riding into town on the water taxi and our driver had dinner in his hand. A live chicken, muy fresco! Plowsville! Hahahaaaa..... Gotta plow, even if it's snow. Barb s/v Arabella www.sailinglinks.com |

Did you see that recent medical study that concluded that people who take a daytime nap at least twice a week are 37% less likely to suffer a heart attack? You folks down there will probably live forever. Max |
