Personally I think one must recognize that the President did not,
and
cannot act alone in declaring and waging a war. Without the support
of
both Houses not much is going to happen. So what are you going to
do,
impeach one hundred senators and a few hundred congressmen?

Cheers
Marty

Which, BTW, includes Hillary Clinton....

Aye, now if we could just infuse the whole lot of them with some
humility maybe we might hear something like "Well, in hindsight it
looks
like we've screwed up some here, so let's quit blaming everyone else
and
find a way out of this mess."

Katy won't believe it. Neither will Max. They believe he just
couldn't have lied.

Nice obfuscation, Jon and Mundo. Bush admitted to being misleading
about Rumsfeld's resignation, but not about the important issue--the
WMDs. Big difference.

Max

You're right. He didn't admit lying. We might want to not take him at
his word, since he's a confessed liar.

You are consumed with hatred for Bush. Tell me, why did you hate your
mother? Did you hate your father, too? Did you want to kill your
father? Did you ever kill one of your pets? A neighbor boy
disappeared when you were ten--did you kill him? Have you ever had
thoughts of suicide?

Well, time's up. We'll have to continue this next week.

I loke watching ovies at the movie house....tv's for second hand
movies...I don't have a 6 goot wide home theater with surround sound so
watching movies on a 27" tv with a black band at the bottom and top is
not the ultimate experience..and I can never get the popcorn to taste
just right...I think we're going to go see Bridge to Teribithia this
afternoon..I'll let you know how it was..

We have a 52" widescreen, HD. AND there are no noisy kids yakking all the
way through the flik, nor are there any idiots with cell phones chatting
with their boyfriends/girlfriends, nor is there any gum on the floor to
stick to the bottom of my shoes. Nor is the sound turned up to the point of
pain, as most theaters are prone to do it seems.

and I can never get the popcorn to taste just right...

Go for the high-fat, 'pour-over butter' microwave stuff. It's really close
to the theater stuff, but costs half as much. And you can listen to sound
of your coronary arteries clogging right in the comfort and convenience of
your own home.

I think we're going to go see Bridge to Teribithia this afternoon..I'll

Please do so. It's on our list as soon as it makes DVD.

I'm sure that I don't want to know what you're talking about!

That was one of Chuck Barris' favorite tag lines. Jamie Farr might gong one
of the contestants, and Chuck would say, "Oh, too bad. I kind of liked him,
but then I like jock itch and athlete's foot, too." Or something similar.
The underwear comment appeared regularly.

It's amazing, sometimes, the things you find out about people you've known
for years...glad I'm no sharing a slip with him any more..each time I
looked at him now I'd be looking for crep lines...

See my post to Marty for an explanation.

OK, you don't have to rub it in!

A little scotch will go a long way in easing your pain.

I had a single malt from the southern-most of the Outer Hebrides the
other, it was almost like eating smoked peat. My friend and I had to
consume most of the bottle before we could decide if we liked it. ;-o

That would be an Islay single malt, quite peaty and often smokey as well.
If you decide you don't care for them, I'd be more than happy to "dispose"
of them for you.

I think I'll have to buy several more bottles, nay, cases, before
deciding, could take me years to make up my mind. 'Tis a dirty job, but
I'm committed to this worthwhile endeavor.

Ah, I see. While I watched the Gong Show regularly, I'm afraid I was
largely paying attention to the opposite sex at that time.

Did you ever see that movie, Confessions of a Dangerous Mind, ostensibly an
autobiography by Barris of his life as a CIA hit man whilst doing the Gong
Show? I think it's typical Chuck Barris baloney, but who knows.

You're a fine and stalwart man to make such a sacrifice, Martin Baxter.
Canada should be proud.

Surely did, mucho entertainment. I'm sure they had a ball making it, I
don't think we should take any more seriously than we'd take that stupid
"documentary" aleging a domestic plot to blow up the WTC from inside and
launch a US missile into the Pentagon.
