Default Hit by ship maybe? Sailed off into the sunset?

I skippered a Bowman 57 for a # of years and the owner wanted to gunkhole
out
towards the canadian border up a deep when the tide was i but a little
narrow
when it was out "fiord". On the way out in the morning in dense fog using
the
radar and loran we tore the side of the keel open on a ledge. All of a
sudden
there was this loud hissing sound. After a thorough and quick inspection I
determined that we had ripped the holding tank open. They built them into
the
keel on that boat. Owner left and I spent ten days at hinckly yard. Damage
repaired.
