"Ted Bell" wrote He is a true Rennaisance man and a real hit with the ladies! I'm Ted Bell! You forgot to mention another important thing. Capt. Neal's so good he can be gone for years and still get people like Old Tom blue in the face....lol Cheers, Ellen Very good point, Ellen. Not only are you one prime nubile hottie but you are smart as a pistol in the process. Gawd, it just doesn't get any better than that! I noticed what you said about the Captain myself. It appears Capt. Neal still rules this group. He has become a legend and a larger-than-life figure. I guess greatness does that. So many small minds trying to attach themselves to somebody great. It occurs to me that great men like Capt. Neal carry a staggering burden. A significant percentage of humanity wishes to be carried around on his broad manly shoulders. Why, Capt. Neal is a modern day Atlas. Paladin Have gun. Will travel. Capt Neal is indeed a legendary figure. Even though medical problems have forced him to give up sailing and resort to touring North America in his highly modified Airstream Trailer, his great sailing accomplishments live on. No ne came close to being the sailor that he was, with the pssible exception of Simple Simon, a mariner of great note. Gilligan Very well said. Capt. Neal was, indeed, a mighty Sailor, though he was not forced to give up sailing due to poor health. He was forced to withdraw by the hordes of autographic seekers, snakeoil salesmen, publishers, publicists, wannabees, and ******s trying to carve a piece off him. -- jlrogers±³© |
