Good for you, Richard...you can feel proud that you've brought back an unsailable boat and seek the fun of the experience before having to have a perfect vessel.. Oh baby, it's a lot of work, but the results have been very satisfying. For what it's worth, I looked at a Catalina 27 Saturday - 1977 I think. _Asking_ price $3500 - negociable. It's all there - and the hull looks sound. One small soft spot on the deck near the aft port side of the deck house. Atomic 4 runs - pretty smooth too. Rig _looks_ good. But- She's been in the water for about 10 years without much care. The interior is bad - real bad. The main bulkhead doesn't quite reach the floor anymore, and the front sole is rather - well - thin? No way I can part that one in the driveway for a year or so for a total restoration. But if someone has the space, time, and money, she's certainly available. And the price, as I said, is negociable ![]() Richard |
