Yep, I lived there years ago and still have great friends in Oxford. That and the sailing is as good as it gets on the bay. Lots of great destinations. The drive is about 2 hrs. At least I know I will be sailing when I get to the boat. I was running out of water where i had the boat. Not only that, it gives me a nice place to get away to from here. Is that new marina at Cape Charles low water? When we called there last year they said there would be no problem with a 6 ft draft but when we looked it seemed iffy ti us...like the marinas here...dredged for the marina but nowhere to go except the channel...and 15 miles through subs and container ships to get out...worth the drive to Pamlico SOund... |
