Default looking for a good hand held GPS

I'd like a slightly bigger, color screen. Can anyone recommend a good unit under $1000? Must be able to plan trips
with computer and save logs of trips.

Check out a Lowrance Finder H2OC. It does everything and it costs about half of
what Garmins with similar features have. It comes with a computer cable. It uses little
tiny secure data cards about the size of a postage stamp. You can even get a little secure
data card reader writer to transfer maps and stuff from computer to hand held. You can
use it for car trips if you get the USA highway data card. I used to get lost. I don't get lost
anymore using the Lowrance.
You won't find a better hand held for twice the price.

Cheers,
Ellen
