![]() Scotty wrote: Jim, to be honest (for a change), despite all my recent sarcasm about the Mac, I really had some great times sailing my own Mac, and I sometimes regret getting rid of it. - Particularly when my Seidleman bottoms out and gets stuck in the mud while I'm a little distracted (e.g., difficulties pulling the tab on the last of a six pack), or when I can't even take it out at low tide, etc. Also, I wanted to tell you that you were absolutely correct in your responses to my note quoting six "authorities" criticising the Mac. Most of them hadn't even sailed a Mac, much less one of the current 26M models. - And rather than admitting it (with the resuting loss of face with my buddies on the ng), I first tried to ignore you, and then, I simply lied about it. The bottom line is that you called me on it, and I didn't have a face-saving response, so I simply lied to the entire newsgroup. I have no excuse, but it relates to some personal problems I have suffered from for some time. Scotty Don't take it so hard, Scotty. - In a few months everyone will forget all about it. Jim |
