Default whipping or dipping?

Dave & Jon,

I see your knowledge is sorely lacking. About 95 % of the cutting of the
lines is done in the Cabin or PH in my case. The cut was made with a
serrated Blade and the heat was from the gallery stove. when the end was
soft enough, I used a melon ball spoon to kill the flame and shape the
end of the line. To my liking! The melon ball spoon was used because I
was in the Gallery and that was always available.

It was fast, easy and it gave me the proper end, to use right now. The
whipping was applied later at a leisurely pace.

The dipping is fine but it is just another thing to get out and put away
when the main point was getting a length of line to a proper length.
(Different strokes;---)
