Hi y'all. You said you wanted a report on how the WaveRV Marine antenna works. At least Joe did.
Gilligan said it looked good and to go for it. Well, I can tell you it works great. Thanks Mr. Gilligan. Instead of only getting two networks to connect to I can now get eight from the same spot. Some are encrypted :-( The signal is strong (excellent) and the connection parameters are excellent too. Zero dropped packets and zero errors after two hours on it. www.radiolabs.com Joe, It's the WaveRV Marine antenna. It's got the wifi card built right in at the bottom and it plugs into the USB. It came with a CD to install the software. I hope y'all had a good turkey day. I did. Ate lot's of pumpkin pie and pecan pie and plenty of white meat carved fresh off the bird. Too much wine, too bseg Now I have to do double Pilates. Maybe triple! My poor laptop computer broke down last week. It wouldn't boot up. It just kept making like electrical short noises from the hard drive bay sounded like sparks and smoke smell came out. I had to buy a new hard drive and reload all the stuff from the recovery disks that came with the computer. But all that stuff is six years old by now. Then I had to go to Windows update to get SP2. But SP2 wouldn't download because Windows update won't work unless you have SP2 installed already. Duh! Talk about your Catch22. I got on the Microsoft support newsgroup and found out where I could get SP2 from someplace else. So I downloaded it and installed it just a few minutes ago. Now Windows update wants to download all kinds of stuff again. I must be blessed. ;-) No, I haven't been sailing. It's been god awful cold down here. It's been like winter for the last two weeks. The Gulf's getting frozen on some beaches. Global warming my goose pimply ass.... Cheers, Ellen |
