I like Laphroaig, but Lagavulin is somewhat better IMO, especially the older stuff. Islay (pronounced EYE-luh) scotches tend to be peaty and smokey. They are the single-malts that gave scotch the "medicine" moniker than persisted for decades. You either like them or you don't. If you don't, try highland malts for a less dry scotch. Max |
