I have tremendous respect for kids and adults who choose to make themselves productive and work summers, evenings, and weekends in McDonalds, etc. Why do you show disrespect for people who choose to work in less-than-optimal jobs, rather than sit around worthlessly? If a person works, he has my respect. Bull****... attack the messenger instead of argue on the merits... that's the rightwingnut tactic. I guess working at McDs is better than nothing, but it's not exactly a skilled job, which is what we need to be promoting. -- Capt. JG @@ www.sailnow.com |

If a person works, he has my respect. Bull****... attack the messenger instead of argue on the merits... that's the rightwingnut tactic. The leftwingnut crowd is fairly adept at it, too. Doug King. I guess working at McDs is better than nothing, but it's not exactly a skilled job, which is what we need to be promoting. Promoting for whom? Do you believe that no one should be doing the sort of labor that McDonalds offers? Are you willing to sacrifice the percentage of the GDP that fast food comprises, simply because we must promote better, more skilled labor to the point that no one will take such jobs? Oh wait--that's what all the undocumented aliens are for, right? Max |
