With more than 100 US soldiers dead this month in Iraq, I don't think
Kerry's comment will have much influence on how people vote. The violence
there is out of control.

There is no doubt that Kerry handed the GOP a gift wrapped in gold leaf.
But it's probably not enough to bail them out of what will likely result
in a shift of congressional power and subsequent gridlock.

What I'm anxiously awaiting is the bitter fight between Hillary, Kerry,
Edwards, Obama, Bayh, Gore (?) and ??? in about a year. Should be fun
watching the Democrats once again fractionate themselves while someone
like John McCain waltzes into the GOP nomination.

Kerry's comment probably had greater impact on his own political aspirations
than on the current election. I trust the Democrats are smart enough to
hope this idiot goes away prior to the next presidential election.
