Jeeze Louise, take it easy, I think you're mixing me up with Bob.
I did not post the original story, merely reported the piece of kit that I have. It does not have an HDTV tuner, unfortunatley, the screen is not 16:9, but rather 4:3. However it has a VGA input and if you get yourself a VGA to Component cable their is plenty of resolution to display whatever comes out of your DVD player quite nicely. Having an HDTV tuner would be nice but I only paid $250 CDN for it at our local Canadian Tire store. . JimC was the original poster who said he had a HDTV flat panel on the boat. I asked who made a small flat panel HDTV that runs off of 12v. Was it you who answered with the Magnavision or whatever brand name that was? Be advised that "plenty of resolution for a DVD player" does not make HD. Standard DVD players do not reproduce HDTV. Funny you state that you bought the TV at a Canadian tire store because in doing an internet search for that brand the only dealer that came up was a tire store in Canada. What kind of TV manufacture only has distribution in tire stores? In the end I didn't think there was a small HDTV that ran off of 12v and I guess there isn't. |
