I think it was you who said my boat should have pulleys to pull the jib sheets down. I didn't put on pulleys because they cost like 80 dollars but I did put on two fair leads made of plastic so now the jib gets pulled down instead of straight back. It hardly flaps at all anymore. And the ones they wanted to sell me had a spring on the bottom that made it stand up straight. It swiveled too. It had a bottom part that you bolted to the deck. Very cool but too expensive and strong for on a little jib like mine. And, it looked like the sheets could get tangled on it. The little plastic fair leads are smooth and the sheets can't get hung up.... Cheers, Ellen |
