I have two mains. The other one is a bit tired, but serviceable. I also have
a three-piece jib. It has a zipper on the bottom of each section except the final foot. I've never seen one like that before, it's in great shape, and I was thinking about getting in changed over so I can put it in the spare slot of the furler. I'll have to get a quote and then compare it to getting a new sail. And, strangely, the boat came with a furling jib that just about fits the new furler. I was using it this weekend. It definitely needs to be cut down a foot or so, and the sailmaker is headed over there right now to take a look. It also is in great shape. I think for next season, I'm going to get a cruising chute made if the cost of changing or replacing the zippered jib is too high. I really like ketches... such a flexible sailplan. Almost bought a Pearson 365. -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Joe" wrote in message oups.com... Capt. I have 3 in my main 2 in the mizzen and 5 different head sails. Joe -- "j" ganz @@ www.sailnow.com "Joe" wrote in message oups.com... Capt. Same here I went out around 7am this morning, the wind was around 15 and has buildt all day and is at a steady 25-right now, a bit much for my Labrisa, no reefing points on it.
