Default My seamanship question # 9

Will the captain of this ship need a sailing endorsement on his license?
http://msnbc.msn.com/id/13325827/site/newsweek/ Is it sailing or is it being towed.
Maybe a towing endorsement is needed too?

Cheers,
Ellen

The sailing endorsement doesn't add any value to the license. The
towing endorsement is for assisted (typically emergency) towing, and
has nothing to do with the situation.

And, you said you were "studying" for your six-pak? Sheesh.
