Here in the Gulf of Mexico if you swim allot you are going to get
stung. Same in most of the Chesapeake, and the NC sounds too. ... Man o wars are bad enough, it's hard to imagine 300 times worse, "Fatal" is pretty bad. OzOne wrote: While Australia has recorded 70 deaths since 1884, the records in other countries are far worse. "If you look at the Philippines, they get about 90 fatalities a year from box jellyfish," said Dr Gershwin. Yeah, but what they don't tell you is that's from people trying to eat them. http://www.underwatertimes.com/news....id=18954603710 Time for another gun thread? :-) Yeah! Gun Thread, GUN THREAD!!! What kind of gun should you use to shoot jellyfish? DSK |

Also fits nicely next to the bunk, with a nice spread at cabin door distance incase of intruders, down side is it's a single shot and jelly fish travel in pods. Joe DSK |

Sounds about as bad as being burned to death from what I've read. Nothing worse the having a damn jelly fish tentiacles wrap around you. They're seasonal..just like alewife, only itchier...and they post the warnings on the news each night... What kind of gun should you use to shoot jellyfish? Salad shooter? Actually, pouring plaster of Paris on them while they float in the sun would work... Max |

Horseshoe crabs and jellyfish are species of opportunity in polluted coastal waters. What kind of gun should you use to shoot jellyfish? Salad shooter? Now that's funny... A sushi shooter would be better, if there is such a thing. DSK |
