Row out a small anchor. Set it well out from the dock near the middle of the boat. Tie the anchor line to the mid-cleat. Set your sails so they're in the *heave-to* position. Stand near the middle of the boat and pull it out sideways. Pull the anchor up. Let go the weather jib sheet and off you go... the wind's blowing this bigger boat against the dock and you're going to hoist sail and THEN pull the boat INTO the wind by hand??? SBV |
