Just Google "Barry Goldwater" on alt.sailing.asa and you will see he was a regular poster along with Phil Hendrie, Lloyd Bonifide, Margarete Gray, Liberace, Pastor William Rennick and a host of others. This place used to be hopping. |

This place used to be | hopping. It feels to me as if a goodly portion of the country passed away when the abundantly talented Phil Hendrie retired. But, I think I know why he retired. His almost superhuman talent was vastly underappreciated and even less well understood. What's the use of expending so much energy catering to an audience consisting primarily of Bozos? He is a truly creative genius. Had me hooked the first time I heard him. The characters were perfect. |
