It does for Doug! While he's now a powerboater, Doug

used to sail

He purchased a small trailerable yacht and now spends his

free time
driving to those places, floating his yacht and enjoying

himself more,
probably, that he had ever before.

I consider your friend a wise man. That's exactly what I

plan to do.
Go to the places that I couldn't go before because of

draft.

Ordered a class III/IV hitch/ receiver for my truck today.

Boat is
next.

Did you decide on a boat yet?

Not entirely. Decided I want max tow package to be less than 4000
lbs. Have several in mind.

We'd love to see the list.

You realize that if you purchased that PW 19, you'd have a larger
cockpit than Nutsy's 35-5.

I've already had several boats that had larger cockpits than the
boobspits wife's boat. The Columbia 24 shown had a larger cockpit
and, because it was a flush deck, it had more usable deck space.

When you add a quarter acre swim platform to the aft end of a boat,
you have to give up something. Cockpit space and general handling
characteristics come to mind.
