Like this...???? http://www.glen-l.com/designs/sailboat/amigo.html No. Nice classic look but too heavy, too much draft, and I have too many building projects currently underway to take on a boat. You realize that if you purchased that PW 19, you'd have a larger cockpit than Nutsy's 35-5. http://community.webtv.net/tassail/ThomPage |

The Columbia 24 shown had a larger cockpit and, because it was a flush deck, it had more usable deck space. http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/bracki...e2.jpg&.src=ph When you add a quarter acre swim platform to the aft end of a boat, you have to give up something. Cockpit space and general handling characteristics come to mind. Frank |

Lets see which other rocket scientists the same mistake you just made. Oh, my mistake there Krusty! If I offered the asking price, he would turn down the offer right away and lower the price just for me! To the selling price no less! BTW if you haven't figured it out, asking 26K$ for a West Wight Potter 19 shows major stoopidity on the part of the seller. The boat is built from a mold formed from a plywood boat, the hull stringers are cardboard, automotive electrical fittings, the winch placement and mainsheet rigging are not symettric, fiberglass resin puddles in the bilge (approximately 250 pounds worth), miniature cockpit drains, and on and on and on. |

You taking reading comprehension lessons from BS? I wasn't really even recommending that particular boat for Frank - just the WWP 19 in general. It's a good boat for doing exactly what he is talking about. The only question would be if it is large enough. CWM I'd recommend looking at a used WWP19 with the tall rig. Don't pay more than 5K$ with the trailer. Weaknesses: Keel trunk Keel winch system Warped front hatch Asymettric topside deck mold Keel rust Asymmetric mainsheet rigging Hardware may have to be replaced Plastic cleats Rudder retention pin Has the lines of a streamlined Bolger box Plusses: Built like tank Sails like tank Easy to sell Mega room inside for its size Simple, easy to rig Has the lines of a streamlined Bolger box Lordy! |

You are just the guy for a WWP19. Are you wearing a uniform? I'm not wearing anything at the moment. When I fart in this folding metal chair it is really loud. |
