How to Improve sailboat value

It's simple. Talk it up and set up a website. True, my trolls probably
don't help, but most people ignore them and look for real info. My new
website (I know it's taking forever!) will really help in that regard.
When I sold Ghost there were 4 people waiting to buy her because of the
website. Paid 9K, sold for close to 14. Same with Alien, paid 16K
total, sold for 31K and more if you count the selling off of associated
gear.

NOTHING and I mean NOTHING aids the eventual sale of a boat as a long
running website. To this day I still get questions from prospective
Pearson 30 and C&C 32 owners.
I do like the hubris of ASA members who think anyone (but them) take
this site seriously. Now THAT'S funny. The truth is that your
association with me, willingness to engage in trolls and nasty
comments, put you on an even lower level.
Still I know when to be "real." When someone asks what I think of the
Express 30, I tell them it's a great boat, just not very attractive. If
someone asks about a Seidlemann, I'm quick to warn them off. Smarter
people do listen.

The trolls themselves provide some real info.

About you!

My new
website (I know it's taking forever!) will really help in that regard.

The website will undo the damage of your trolling?

When I sold Ghost there were 4 people waiting to buy her because of the
website. Paid 9K, sold for close to 14.

They knew the boat was lightly used from all your time spent trolling.

Same with Alien, paid 16K
total, sold for 31K and more if you count the selling off of associated
gear.

That boat was a gift from some dying guy, hoping you would cherish the
boat.. You didn't own it very long, you took it with the intent of flipping
it for a tidy profit. You took advantage of the dying man.

NOTHING and I mean NOTHING aids the eventual sale of a boat as a long
running website. To this day I still get questions from prospective
Pearson 30 and C&C 32 owners.

If you consider them asking you to go away or to shut up as questions rather
than requests.

The truth is that your
association with me, willingness to engage in trolls and nasty
comments, put you on an even lower level.

That may be true, but you are the anchor dragging everyone else down. No one
can go as low as you.

Even smarter ones won't deal with you. Look at the people you have driven
off of the group so far.

Afraid not.

Yup.

They knew the boat was lightly used from all your time spent trolling.

Well then that will work again for the 35s5!

That boat was a gift from some dying guy, hoping you would cherish
the
boat.

Actually, that guy had just bought a new Tartan, but let me know if I
can sell you a bridge sometime, Bob!

You didn't own it very long, you took it with the intent of

Dying man is now sailing in CA with his new Tartan! Can I interest you
in some oil wells???

That may be true, but you are the anchor dragging everyone else down.

So long as you all drown first...which is how it always goes!

No one
can go as low as you.

No? Notice a few folks taking jabs at Suzanne? That's a new low for
this group and I drove them to it!

Even smarter ones won't deal with you. Look at the people you have

Seems like Bob C. is still here, and taking another beating!

What ever YOU say isn't ever taken seriously. It is put on the :"Back
Burner" and there isn't even a flame on in the back burner. Your
accounting STINKS.

You refuse to add the cost, to you, of the up grade work you've given to
those boats. You do not put any value on the time you're not sailing,
while others are out sailing.

Nutsy, I question your sailing mentality. I consider you a boat worker
and not a sailor. (That's the kind word;- actually you're a e-bay
Junkie)

So, enjoy your hobby of working on boats. I, as many other, feel
differently.

You yourself said trolls provide info. Now you contradict yourself. Lies!

The website will undo the damage of your trolling?

Yup.

So you admit that your trolling has damaged the Beneteau name!

Where are the wells located?

That may be true, but you are the anchor dragging everyone else down.

The anchor always hits bottom first.

Too bad everyone else is 200 feet up the line in 30 feet of water!

Eh? We CLEANED the C&C and I redid the floors. Little else. For the
Beneteau? It was already clean. I put in a better stereo and VHF, but
haven't done much else except sail it.
The Pearson was a project boat because it had to have a engine rebuild.
Thom, did you take your anti-silly meds for today?

False value. Keeping a boat pristine and adding improvements and upgrades
do far more than hype.

Do both. But don't underestimate hype. Pirates of the Caribbean 2 made
a ton of cash and it was among the worst movies of all time.
