Me too, in light conditions. How do you deploy it? I just
throw it as far as I can.

I only do that when other boats are anchored too close.

Generally I lower it from the bow until it rests on the
bottom, give it an extra 2 or 3 feet, and cleat it off.

I have an idea for a drogue device attached to the bow that
will stop the boat from sailing around the anchor, but have
not made one yet. If it works maybe I'll patent it.
